Mike Brill 
Captain
Mike Brill was born and raised on Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL. Spending
his childhood on the water, he attended the Merchant Marine Academy in
New York (S.U.N.Y Maritime College) graduating in 1994. Interested in
sailing on Cruise Ships, a difficult industry for an American to break
into, Captain Brill was offered a job with Windjammer Barefoot Cruises.
Sailing as Third Mate, he continued to upgrade his license and became
Captain of his first passenger ship, an 800 passenger Casino Ship, at
25 yrs old.
Earning his Unlimited USCG Master, First Class Pilot Port of Miami License
at 27, Captain Brill continued to work on various passenger ships as a
Captain and Operations Manager learning the ISM Code, and creating and
modifying Safety Management Systems as well as setting up the first U.S.
flagged vessel to sail under HSC (high speed code).
Captain Brill still keeps his hands in the Commercial shipping business
as a consultant and expert witness. In addition to his accomplishments
in the Maritime Industry, Captain Brill is also a Commercial, Multi Engine,
Instrument Rated Pilot.
